Dali is our first cat -of the breed housecat, which we got from a farm near our house. He was a very active and elegant male kitten, in many ways similar to a Russian Blue. Maybe he was responsible for us getting our first Russian Blue; we wanted to give Dali a playmate, as active and playful as himself. Now Dali is a happy, large, chubby 6 years old neutered male cat. In spite of his 8 kg weight, Dali is a fantastic hunter and a good climber. He loves to be petted on the belly. Dali does not really purr but has his own sound of well-being, like a sort of growl med “hhhmmm” sounds – therefore we also call him the Marabou cat. Once in a while he tells the Russian girls that he is the boss.
